Welcome to DM Performing Arts Studio!
Opened in 1926, our studio was one of the first in the Hazleton Area and has created performers and teachers, and set the foundations of work ethic for hundreds of amazing people you may know today.
Now, in its third generation of teachers, we promise an experience you won't want to leave.

We desire an atmosphere that is both fun and educational. We base our technique on safety and proper use of the body. We also WILL NOT tolerate bullying by either students or parents. We are a family-run business who would like an age-appropriate atmosphere both in classes and the waiting area.
After 95 years in the business, we feel we have found the best ways to handle payments, pricing, and class placement. We appreciate your trust that we will always do right by the student and do what is best for the class.

CLASS AND COSTUME PRICING
All classes are paid as a yearly tuition fee. Your yearly tuition entitles you to 32 dance classes between the start of the year and the recital date.
SNOW DAYS: We already have snow days built into the schedule. Each class will have 3– 5 extra classes. Once we pass the 32 week mark, we will offer make-up dates or tuition credits on a class by class basis.
We follow the Hazleton Area School District cancellation policy. HOWEVER, if school is cancelled in the morning and it clears by afternoon, we will make every attempt to hold the class.

HOLIDAYS: We shut down for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. We WILL hold classes on all of those Mondays during the year where the school district has no school. I.E. Columbus Day, President's Day etc.
Please remember that your monthly fee for tuition is the same no matter how many lessons we have. Some months have five and some have only 2 or 3 classes.

We will deduct the percentage off your yearly tuition and come up with a specialized monthly fee depending upon what classes you take!
COSTUMES: All costumes are priced between $60 and $100. It is different depending upon each class. Everyone must have a $50 deposit PER CLASS by November 1 with the balance paid in full by January 1. All costume orders go in for December for a March/April shipment

Monday, August 28: Classes begin
October 1-7: No classes (Shrek Jr Tech Week)
November 19-27: No classes (Nutcracker preparation and Thanksgiving Holiday)
December 23-January 2: Closed for holiday. Classes resume January 3
March 29-31: No classes for Easter Holliday
April 1: Competition fees due in full
April 14-21: No classes for recital only students. Competition Tech Week. Please allow each night for this annual rehearsal week.
April 19-21: Talent Explosion competition in Camp Hill for qualifying classes. More news to follow.
April 22-27: No classes for competition students. Recital students only.
May 27-30: Tech rehearsals for the recital with times a locations to follow.
May 31: Dress rehearsal
June 1: Solo/Duo recital at 4:00 PM, Main recital at 7:00 PM at Berwick Area High School
June 10: Summer classes begin

We WILL be open for Veteran’s Day, Columbus Day, President’s Day, memorial Day and all other Monday holidays unless otherwise specified on the Facebook group by your teacher
